ABUJA STRUGGLE

On 12-14 December, 2015 the Nigerian army under the command of COAS Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai attacked the followers of the Islmic Movement in Zaria, Kaduna – Nigeria, and killed hundreds and wounded several. The attack was carried out on a baseless allegation by the Nigerian army. The Members of the Islamic Movement embarked on daily #FreeZakzaky protest tagged #AbujaStruggle to ensure the Nigerian authorities obey the court order the release of the Sheikh as ordered by a Federal High Court in Abuja on 2nd December, 2016.

Nigerian army have repeatedly opened fire on peaceful Arbaeen mourners of Imam Hussain (A.S) and followers of jailed Nigerian Shiite cleric in Abuja and killed 42 over the previous two days.

Martyr Muhammad Sani (ASA) was a very active member of the Abuja Struggle who sacrifices all he had for the freedom of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, until he attained martyrdom.

ZARIA MASSACRE, 2015

The Zaria massacre was a massacre carried out by the Nigerian Army in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria on Saturday, 12 December 2015, against Shia Muslims, mostly members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria. At least 348 civilians were killed, with 347 bodies secretly buried by the army in a masse grave.
