Martyr Abubakar was born in the year 1956 at Ruwan Godiya village. His father’s name is Haruna and his mother’s name is Hafsat. He studied at local Qur’anic school in Mairuwa, Faskari local government, Katsina state. He is a farmer with one wife and ten children.
Abubakar is polite and attributed with drawing attention of the non Islamic Movement members to understand the movement and participate actively. He inspired the old not to hesitate and work along with the youth toward the progress of the Islamic movement.
Martyr Abubakar was 60 years old when he was shot in the stomach by the Nigerian police and beating by paid thugs on 12th October, 2016. During the annual Ashura procession which was staged at Funtua town.
Martyr Abubakar always advice his children to think rationally in making decisions and always choose what will pleases Allah (SWT). He told his wife when he attained martyrdom his children should continue following the path of Ahlulbait (AS).
