Martyr’s Name: Ahmad
Other Name(s): Ibraheem Zakzaky
Date of Birth: 13th October, 1990
Biography:
Martyr Ahmad Ibraheem Zakzaky was born on 13th October, 1990 equivalent to 24 Rabi’ul Auwal, 1410 inside Kwarbai in Zaria city of Kaduna State.
He attended Toddle Top Primary School, Zaria, Therbow Academy and Great Hall Mark International School, Zaria; where he obtained his first school leaving certificate as well as secondary school certificate. He then proceeded to Shenyang University of Technology, China, for his undergraduate degree programme where he studied Chemical Engineering.
He is bestowed with calmness, attractive physical structure and capacity. Because of his talent, he is called ‘Young engineer’ by a secondary school teacher.
He had infinitive love for Allah’s Messenger (S) and always aims to imitate Abbas bn Ali (A.S). He is brought up of a good model of morality. His youthful age is framed in serving Allah (S), he does not allow that which is unlawful to be taken into his mouth.
He had a good understanding of his mission on earth; he believes that he is on earth for a reason which is to serve Allah and convey the message of his Messenger to others. He was reported to have said; ” The situations we found our parents in made us to understand that we did not come to this world to play; certainly there is special wisdom behind that.
Following some series of attacks at his father’s house (at his tender), he got to understand that he actually has great challenges to face ahead. Just imagine how a child with this focus can watch it when a police slaps his mother at his presence; only to stop her from chanting ALLAHU AKBAR! Martyr Ahmad had this to say: ” It pains me up to now; for what ever reason if I remember this, I feel worried.” This happened when the child (Sayyeed Ahmad) was teargassed, could not do anything in form of defense.
He was humble, pious and God-fearing. His simplicity and determination to assist his father and Islamic Movement was seen in his participation in the early stage of building of Hussainiyya Baqiyyatullah. Martyr Ahmad was not only part of the builders and labourers, but, spent almost all his time and days in ensuring the wishes and hope of Sayyeed Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) celebrating the Holy Ghadeer Celebration in Hussainiyya Baqiyyatullah that year was realised. Not even the Eid Fitr could deter him from continuing with the work; while some of us were busy celebrating and having merry making, this leader of today and tomorrow was in the sorching sun mixing cement, sands and other jobs to ensure that the movement move finally to the new Hussainiyya Baqiyyatullah.
This is rather unanticipated in the history of Islamic struggles and families indeed. Reflecting today on our society, even a son of the Chairman of a Local Government cannot be seeing doing this odd job. But this is just an example of humility and spiritual fulfillment of the pure bloodlines of Sayyeeda Fateema Zahra (A.S)
Martyr Ahmad was a shining example to all humanity. Nevertheless, he is a father and brotherly figured to all the youths and children of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and beyond. He is energetic, hardworking, always thinking and coming up with ideas of how to move and sacrifice for the sake of Allah. He is eager to be told to do something by his father and leader. He sees his father beyond the bloodline of son and a father; but he sees him as his leader and the true representative of Sahibuz Zaman Imam Mahdi (A.S).
Even the joke of his father is a command to this young man that symbolized beauty, role model, motivator and support to his father, the movement and the youths in general.
We always look to him with admirations. In the spiritual realm he is a son and leader among unequal. For someone who grows up in the house of spirituality, Ahmad never let us down; unlike what we see in other households, where a name tagged which is often equated to some characters such a course that Ahmad attained his martyrdom.
May his pure soul rest in eternal peace.
