MAYTRYR ALI ZAINAL ABIDEEN MUSTAPHA was born on the 20th of February, 1992 in the staff quarters of Kaduna Federal Polytechnic, Tudun Wada. Zainal Abideen attended primary school in Demonstration Zaria where he later obtained his Secondary School Certificate from Hallmark Secondary School, Zaria. Zainil Abideen attained martyrdom at the residence of the Leader of the Islamic movement, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky during the 2015 unjustified Zaria Massacre.
HIS CONTRIBUTION
During his life, he was among the most active members of Mu’assatu Abulfadl Abbas. He contributed immensely in providing security details to Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. He is also a part of the few that provided security to key events of the Islamic Movement.
HIS CHARACTER
Zainil Abideen is a highly religious person with lots of integrity, honesty, respect, self-reliance and also an introvert who possessed all qualities of leadership. He is always against oppression and tyranny of any kind. One among his unique characters is the virtue of sacrifice. He is always in the act of sacrificing the little he could afford in the cause of religion.
TESTIMONY
Before his martyrdom, he requested that his little siblings should be taken care of. Though during the Zaria carnage, his father Dr. Mustapha Sa’eed, and two of his brothers; Muhammad Mustapha and Ruhullah Mustapha were also martyred.
