Shaheed Mustafa Lawal Nasidi was the representative of the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Potiskum zone until his martyrdom.
He was born on 30th June, 1965 (28/11/1385A.H) in Potiskum, Yobe State of Nigeria. He was brought up in a religious household. His Father is Alhaji Lawal Nasidi the son of Alhaji Shu’aibu Nasidi both of which were well-known Islamic Scholars. His Mother is Hajiya Asma’u Muhammad Wabi. Before his martyrdom, he is married to one wife, and they are blessed with six children.
His first Islamic teacher was his Father and later continued his studies from Sheikh Yusuf Modibbo and Malam Babangida Sheikh Sa’eed Potiskum. He also traveled to Iran and Lebanon in order to further his education.
Shaheed Mustapha also memorized the holy Qur’an.
On the western education, he completed his primary school in Central Primary School Potiskum and moved to Government Science and Technical College, Damagun. After his graduation from secondary School, He studied Physics at University of Maiduguri and Computer Science in ATBU Bauchi.
Shaheed Mustafa Lawal is known for his patience and tolerance. He has been very intelligent and brilliant since his childhood. He is blessed with knowledge and wisdom.
He was the only person that fearlessly stands againstĀ  the killing of innocent people under the cover of Boko Haram in Potiskum. Even his enemies never doubted his braveness.
Shaheed Mustafa Nasidi attained martyrdom on 12th December 2015, at the residence of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) in Gyallesu, Zaria during the raid of the Nigerian Army on the house of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.
