Sumayya Isa Hassan was born on 13th October, 1990, at Jos, Plateau State. They later relocated to Zaria. Her father Prof. Isa Hassan Mshelgaru is a Staff at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Hajiya Hamma Ibrahim is her mother. Both are followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H). She is the second child in the family. She has four siblings.
Martyr Sumayya received her primary education at Tauheed Private school, Jos. She obtained her Secondary School Certificate from Federal Government Girls College, Minjibir and Federal Government Girls college Bakori. She studied Biochemistry at a prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Martyr Sumayya is a great influencer to the community. She was always smiling. She has special affection for children, giving them gifts and pulling them to her. She is the definition of love and kindness.
She is an imitator of the life of Sheikh Zakzaky (H). She is one of Abulfadl Abbas Foundation’s great members. She devoted all her time to the call of this servant of Allah (T) Sheikh Zakzaky (H) throughout her lifetime. She always asks for forgiveness whenever she’s leaving home to attend religious activities, saying that, I may not come back after leaving.
Martyr Sumayya couldn’t wait when she heard that the Nigerian Army surrounded the house of her leader on 13th December 2015, she immediately went there to give her contribution. She welcomed martyrdom at the spot.
Sumayya is working with team of imnig.org (now imnigeria.org), the website of Islamic Movement in Nigeria. She is mostly the one responsible for uploading the audio of any relevant programmes conducted among other things, before the Zaria Massacre.

Sumayya’s name has been an epitome of sacrifice and hardworking. The task is a real difficult one, but she has successfully handled the task, making it (the task) to look simpler for those that didn’t know.
Sumayya is largely the force behind the circulation of all Audio speeches of the leader of Islamic movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, in the last three years. Looking at the cycle she’s working as a lady is enough to tell you how determined and agile she is.

Sumayya is tireless in her effort to see works done, she can be trusted always with such hard tasks, and she’s always eager to learn new ways of solving problems. Sumayya combined school with activism, she’s attending to her schooling activities, she has integrated her work and school well. The way she’s relating with other people, be it her colleagues or not, is really remarkable, she’s a friend to all, her cheerful attitude has made her really unique in all activities she’s attending, her simplicity tells you how clear and bright her mind is, the way she’s solving problems for others shows her brilliant state of mind.
