Martyr Abdussalam Dayyib
Martyr Abdussalam was born on 25th April, 1995 in Funtua Local Government, Katsina Dtate. His father’s name is Dayyabu Abbas and his mother’s name is Amina Dahiru. He has sixteen brothers and sisters. He studied at Fodiyya Islamic school, Aya Primary School, Ideal and King’s Kid Secondary School.
Martyr Abdussalam work hard to please his parents, he is trustworthy, patient and religious. He spends almost all his nights at a mosque near his house and pray. Martyr Abdussalam was a honest man, he once found a bag with some materials inside and keep it for a year before selling it, and He gave the money to charity.
Martyr Abdussalam was 21 when he was shot in his back and chest by the Nigerian police and beaten by paid thugs on 12th October 2016. During the annual Ashura procession which was staged at Funtua town.
The night of his martyrdom he told his mother that he has a dream but will not tell her. Abdussalam was fasting when he was Martyred.
