He was born on 1th December 1968. At Maigamji village Funtua Local Government, Katsina State. His father’s name is Sa’adu and his mother’s name is Aisha. He studied at local Qur’anic school in his village and at Zaria, Maigamji Primary school, Ma’ahad Imam Sa’id and ATC Funtua. He is a farmer, teacher and also performs drama. He has one wife and nine children.

Idris is polite, trustworthy and very religious. He worked with the IM production of the Islamic movement. He tried his best in drawing attention of the non Islamic movement members to understand the movement and participate actively and he succeeded, many joined the Movement through him.

Martyr Idris was 48 when he was shot by the Nigerian police on 12th October 2016 in his abdomen and left thigh. During the annual Ashura procession which was staged at Funtua town.

Martyr Idris didn’t sleep at the night of his martyrdom, he was praying and supplicating all night.
