Martyr Muhammad Zayyan Lawal
Martyr Muhammad Zayyan was born in the year 1956 in Unguwar Fulani District of Funtua Local Government, Katsina state. His father’s name is Lawal and his mother’s name is Hajja. He studied at a Local Qur’anic school of his father and later on went to Kano to continue his studies. He has two wife’s and nine children.
Muhammad Zayyan is trustworthy, honest and always concerned with his children’s conduct and behaviors. He always adhere to the Islamic principles and discipline his children to do so. He is a Role Model to the old and mentor to the young.
Martyr Muhammad Zayyan was 60 years old when he was killed by the Nigerian police on 12th October, 2016. During the annual Ashura procession which was staged at Funtua town. Muhammad Zayyan was shot in his back by a Police personnel.
