Martyr Mustapha Ahmad was born on 1st August, 1994. In Kiru, Kano state. His father’s name is Ahmad Imam and his mother’s name is Fatima Umar. He has three brothers and four sisters. He studied at Fodiyya Islamic school, Hizburrahim, Progressive International school Kaduna, Wudil Technical Collage and he is a 300level student at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria studying mathematics.
Mustapha is Brave, Courageous, Innovative, hardworking and also adheres to the teachings of Islam. He’s major concern is how to educate himself and apply what he knows into practice. He contributed a lot in the activities of the Academic Forum of the Islamic movement, ABU Zaria Chapter. He was the the editor in chief of the forum. His colleagues testified that he revived some of the forum’s activities. Mustapha started an idea of creating an extra lesson class for the younger ones, the class was formed and named after him as Martyr Mustapha Learning Center. He also played a vital role in FOSA (Fodiyya Old Student Association). Martyr Mustapha wrote an article on his Facebook timeline 24 hours before his martyrdom with the title I BELONG TO THE IMN, this article shows how courageous and heroic Martyr Mustapha was. Martyr Mustapha inspired many students by showing them that knowledge is a tool that we need to fight for our freedom and with determination noting is impossible.
Martyr Mustapha Ahmad Imam was 22 years old when he was shot on his head by the Nigerian police on 12th October, 2016. During the annual Ashura procession which was staged at Funtua town.
If the crime of Sheikh Ibrahim Ya’qub Al-Zakzaky and other members of the movement you detained is because they claim that ”THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT BUT ALLAH’S“, then here I am, you are free to detain, jail or kill me. Because I shall keep on claiming to my last breath that “THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT BUT ALLAH’S”.
