BIOGRAPHY:
He was born on the 12th April of 1997 at Anguwan Jaba Sabon Gari, Zaria. He was the second out of the five children (i.e Batula, Martyr Muhammad, a, Fatima and Hassan) of his parents; Malam Mu’azu Ishaq Mai fata and Malama Maryam Dalhatu, whom are disciples of Sheikh Zakzaky.
At the age of 3 years he was enrolled for basic education in Ar-Rayyan Islamic Nursery and Primary School from the year 2000 to 2008 where he obtained his primary school certificate. He then went further to Progress International Secondary School were he started his secondary education but was later transferred to Demonstration Secondary School A.B.U Zaria where he joined his elder sister Batula. He had his S.S.C.E from Demonstration Secondary School A.B.U in the year 2014. Shaheed Muhammad was admitted into the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria to study Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, at the faculty of Engineering in the early 2015. He was martyred while in his first year at university.
In his quest for Islamic education, Martyr Muhammad started Islamic education at early age of his life he attended schools such as; Markazu Shaheed Abubakar Madomawa, Madrasatul Tahfizul Qur’anil Kareem and Darul Imam Mahdi (A.F) where he memorised the whole Holy Qur’an and studied many Islamic books.
In the act of skill acquisition, he learned how to repair mobile phones accessories, electric appliances. He once worked at a provision store as an accountant while waiting for admission into A.B.U.
He was a devout generous, kind and warm person to everyone, selfless, trustworthy and obedient to his parents. He was always seeking for knowledge and fond of encouraging people around him to seek for knowledge. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge by teaching Qur’an and other Islamic books in Islamic schools and at home.
His ambition was to become a Mechanical Engineer and an Islamic scholar and at the end of his life attain martyrdom.
He was an active and diligent member of Mu’assasatu Abul-Fadl Abbas, where he dedicated most of his time, money and all he has. During holidays he attends protection duty in Sheikh Zakzaky’s residence.
He was martyred at Husainiyyah Baqiyyatullah Zaria on the 12th of December 2015, when the Nigerian Army besieged Husainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, residence of Sheikh Zakzaky at Gyallesu and Darur Rahma (the Islamic Movement’s martyrs cemetery) where over 1000+ of Sheikh Zakzaky disciples (including men, women, children and infants) were massacred.
He went to the Husainiyyah on that day from school (A.B.U) after he heard about the soldiers attacking the places. He never had the chance to say goodbye to his parents nor siblings or relatives. But his sister Batula said her brother Ali (who was also martyred at Sheikh Zakzaky’s residence) saw him outside the building of the Husainiyyah before he was shot.
