Martyr Sani was born in the year 1985 in Sabuwa local government, Katsina State. His parents were Malam Adam and Malama Hauwa’u. He started his education in L.E.A. primary school, Lafiya Road, Rigasa, Kaduna. He went to the Government Secondary School Kogi Road, Kaduna.
In the Islamic studies, he completed the Qur’an in Fudiyyah Rigasa and then continued with other Islamic studies there. He started a diploma programme in Katsina state polytechnic which he didn’t complete when he was martyred. He left his parents, his Siblings, His siblings, His wife and a son. Before his Martyrdom he was engaged in businesses.
He was working with the youth forum of the Islamic Movement(the youth forum was formed to build the characters of the youth). He was very gentle and good with children and kept very good relationship with his family. He was very prayerful to the extent he was reported to his parents for not sleeping much at night due to his nightly prayers. Martyr Sani was a very courageous and steadfast person.
He was martyred in Kaduna on the 11th of Muharram 1448 coinciding with 12 October 2016. In the Markaz in the attack carried out by Elrufai’s government, during which the police kept firing teargas which lead to Martyr Sani and others fainting, later the mob that was hired by the Government attacked them with machetes and stones and practically beat them to death.
Will: When he was martyred, his wife was pregnant, he wanted the child to be named Haidar if it was a boy.
Comment: He also told his wife when he was going for the protest that he wasn’t coming back, so he asked her to forgive him.
