Martyr Yusuf was born in 1968 in Katsina State. Before his martyrdom he had
memorized the Holy QUR’AN. And he also wrote so many Islamic books. He was
martyred leaving behind his mother, his wife, and three children.
Before his martyrdom he worked under Hurras [a unit of the Islamic Movement].
Shahid Yusuf was someone who always recites the Holy Qur’an and was known
for that in his community. He was a very religious and patient person who never
misses his prayers.
He was martyred on Tuesday 15th December 2015 in Kaduna State when members
of the Islamic Movement came out for a Free Zakzaky protest a day after the Zaria
Massacre, were he was shot by police force and taken alive who was later killed
under the Leadership of Governor Nasiru El-Rufai.
On the day of his martyrdom, after taking a shower he said: by Gods Will this will
be his last shower in this world. During the attack by the police force, he asked his
wife to take care of his children even after his demise and no matter how hard it’s
get they should not leave the Islamic Movement
