BIOGRAPHY:
Martyr Fatima was born on Monday 23rd January, 1996 at Sabon Fegi, Lafiya Nasarawa state. She is the fourth born in the family of nine. Her father’s name is Malam Yahaya Yusuf, and her mother’s name is Malama A’isha Usman. Both parents are among the followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H).
She started her primary school at Pilot primary school, Lafiya east and later transferred to Pilot primary school Ta’ala modern Lafiya. She acquired her junior secondary School certificate at Al-fijir Sadiq Lafiya. And got her senior secondary School certificate at Ali-Yaseen Secondary School Lafiya. She also received her diploma from school of Health Technology Lafiya. She besides attended Malam Shitu Islamiyya school as well.
She is a tailor and hair weaver by profession. She used her earnings in giving all her contributions. She was trustworthy, kind and very friendly with her customers.
Martyr Fatima was among the members of Jaish Shaheed Ahmad Zakzaky and was contributing as a health officer with the Medical Team.
She was known for her good conducts and her respect for elders. She hardly misses fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, and also stuck to night prayers.
Her only ambition was martyrdom, she added more effort towards achieving her goal in life after the martyrdom of her friend Martyr Husaina Dauda Nalado. This is why she relocated to Abuja and joined the struggle for the freedom of Sheikh Zakzaky (H).
Her role model is Martyr Ahmad Ibraheem Zakzaky and the remaining martyred children of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. She emulated them in words and actions.
Her Farewell.
Martyr Fatima asked her mother, who will perform the rituals on her martyred body after her martyrdom? She asked the question when her mother informed her that she can’t attend the Arba’een procession.
She also said to their head on the day of her martyrdom “today, they will shoot me in the head.”
She showed so many indications that, that very day is going to be her last day.
She was martyred by the Nigerian army on 29th October, 2018 in Abuja while participating in the Arba’een symbolic trekking.
