Martyr Muhammad Sani Auwal (ASA)

Martyr Muhammad Sani Auwal was born on 7th March 1993 into the family of Mallam Muhammad Auwal Usman and Mallama Ruqayya Umar in Bauchi State. He left behind 2 elder brothers and 5 younger ones also.
He had his Primary education at Sa’adu Zungur Primary School in Bauchi town from the year 2000 to 2006. He then proceeded to Government Junior Secondary School at Kofar Wambai Bauchi for his junior secondary education from 2007 to 2009. He further went ahead to Government Technical College Bauchi from the year 2010 to 2012 where he had certified with Senior School Certificate (SSCE).
Martyr Muhammad then got admission into Federal Polytechnic Bauchi in 2013 into Architectural Technology department for Diploma program, he successfully graduated in 2015.
Just before his martyrdom he got admitted into Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi for Degree program.

Martyr Muhammad Sani otherwise known as ASA (by nickname) has memorized the Holy Qur’an at Madaratul Fudiyyah Bauchi.
MartyrMuhammad was well known for his self-restrain, respect for his parents, elders and everybody he interacts with. He was well known for night vigil, and Azkars.

Before his martyrdom he was a very active member of Jaish Sayyid Ahmad (JASAZ) under Mu’assatu Abul Fadl Abbas (AS) and youth forum of the Islamic movement in Nigeria. He was an assistant Director in IM Production who showcases the life history of Karbala Tragedy and that of the 18th century reformer Late Sheikh Usman Bin Fodiyo.
Muhammad Sani was an active participant in the daily protest demanding the freedom of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) in the city of Abuja from the continued unjust detention since the Zaria massacre in 2015.

Martyr Muhammad Sani attained martyrdom in Abuja, a day before Yaumul Arba’eem symbolic trek. He was shot on his left thigh when he gallantly faced tyrant Nigerian security operatives while they were shooting innocents trekkers in Abuja.
