Martyr Abubakar was born in 1969 in Batsari town of Katsina State into the family of Mallam Haruna and Malama Fatima who were natives of Niger state. He attended the commonly known Makarantar Alloin Batsari town. Martyr Abubakar assist his father in his business and later relocated to Uduwa permanently after his father’s death.
Before his martyrdom, Abubakar was a hardworking member of the Hurras unit of the Islamic movement.
He attained martyrdom on the 13/12/2015 when the Nigerian army attacked the recidence of sheikh ibrahim zakzaky at the age of 46 leaving behind his mother wife and 8 children.
